The social committee plans and implements various social events, celebrations and activities taking place at our church.
A member of the social committee is expected to be available for meetings to discuss the plans of the events. He or she assists in organizing these events, performing some or all of these activities: arranging catering orders, food preparation, hall reservations, selling tickets, serving food, preparing games, arranging for prizes and raffle items, etc. Members are expected to be available for set-up and then clean up of the place where a given event is held.
A social committee member is a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church in good standing, recognized within the parish community as a person of solid reputation.He or she has an ability to relate and communicate effectively with others, willing to serve the community and to commit time and talents to this ministry.
